“I’m not afraid to take a stand.”
A hard worker, Ryan is currently employed at two jobs. He loves to draw, with his favorite drawings usually being of cars. Living with FASD has created many challenges for Ryan. As a youth, it led him to hanging out with the wrong crowd and travelling down an unsafe path.
By the age of fifteen years, Ryan had been convicted of 10 car theft offenses. A significant turning point in his life came when the stolen car he was driving hit a police officer. From this point, Ryan has committed to turning his life around. The message that he would like others to know is that people who live with FASD may be different but that there are many things that they can do if they are given the chance.
